Welcome to my first post on Indiana DBZ's blog. I was wanting to go over a few different things about what I am wanting to accomplish with the Indiana DBZ account and with this blog.

However with this new reinvention it has been noticed by my friends and I that though the game is gaining steam through the country, it was relatively unplayed in our local area.
Seeing this gap in local players I have opened Indiana DBZ to try and connect with local players who also don't have areas to play this amazing game. I am working closely with an amazing store in Huntingburg called Game Knight. Game Knight is owned and operated by a few outstanding people who happen to be close friends of mine Tesla Burger and Jacob Neukam.
Working with them I am hoping to create a local community of enthusiastic DBZ players so that more than just my friends and I have a place to play DBZ. I am hoping that Game Knight could be the first home for those local players that are in need of a place to play and a place to grow their talents in the game.
With this first intention out of the way I want to talk about my second intention. When i opened the Indiana DBZ twitter and facebook page, I decided to use it for more than just finding local players. I wanted Indiana DBZ to become a hub for those players and many more, in everything Panini Dragonball Z. A place to gather tournament results, deck ideas, tournament listings, local tournament news, new product news etc.
Unlike Magic: The Gathering, Dragonball Z (the Panini version) is super young only dating back to 2014 and is lacking the social information that MTG has. There is no giant online information site for DBZ (yet), like there is for MTG (Starcity Games). There isn't a tournament going on every weekend somewhere like MTG, mainly do to sponsoring. However, I am very confident that this game is growing at a very rapid rate and is gaining steam so strong that it won't be long before there are these tournaments and websites.
Now for my future planning on Indiana DBZ blog. I am going to write two different blogs on different subject matters:
News - I want to write about news from Panini, tournament news (including information about upcoming tournaments and tournament results), and spoilers from new sets.
Deck Tech - I want to write about local players deck ideas, including myself. Following them through a few weeks of play to see how they have changed and how they are doing at the tournaments.
As for the frequency on these posts I am going to try to do a monthly news blog from Panini/Spoilers/Promos etc. At the beginning of every month, that is of course unless there is any breaking news which will be blogged about within a few days of the news breaking.
Upcoming tournaments and tournament results will be based upon the tournaments. I will try my hardest to release all tournament dates as soon as possible and to blog the tournament results by the end of the next day.
And finally deck tech, this blog I am wanting to do on a weekly basis. Starting the very first week we hold a tournament and continuing weekly. As for when it would be released in blog that would have to be a few days following any tournament or "gathering" where we can exchange deck ideas and look at results and changes.
All information on blog releases and any immediate information will always be released in shortened version on Twittter and Facebook.
Thank you all very much for my reading through my first blog. I hope my ideas make sense to you all and I even hope that maybe you have some ideas for me as well. I am completely open to new ideas or thoughts, so if you feel like you got something do not hesitate to send me the idea via twitter @indiana_dbz or on facebook at Indiana DBZ.
Thank you all very much once again!
